Can cost be determined before the start of a project?
Yes, within a reasonable range. Since none of the items or materials
is selected at the start of a design project, it is difficult to
determine the exact amount a project will cost. However, based on
our past experience with similar projects, we can provide a cost
approximation during the project's conceptual stages.
Are there projects that you do not do?
Our designers are skilled at working with a wide range of design
styles and periods. We are not limited to an exclusive style, and
welcome projects in all styles of design and architecture.
Can interior designers specify structural changes?
We work with a select group of licensed, bonded residential contractors
and consultants for projects requiring architectural changes or
engineering calculations beyond the scope of our practice.
How long do projects typically take?
Each project's requirements are different and timelines will fluctuate
based on the nature of the job. From inspiration to installation,
Decoration Only projects usually take 2-4 months.
Can a project be approached in phases?
Yes. Completing a project in phases allows one area of the home
to be renovated while the homeowner lives in another. Planning the
entire project thoroughly in the beginning prevents costly changes
during the installation phases.
What is the minimum budget that is required for
a project?
There is no minimum budget, although we encourage our clients to
set realistic budgets in line with their design goals, and we will
discourage ambitious projects with insufficient budgets.
Where do I start?
You choose one or more rooms in your home. Our certified interior
designer will work with you to indentify your challenges and
desires. We will then suggest possibilities, provide inspiration photos,
color schemes, floor plans and more in a written Plan of Design,
expressly for you. All this for less than you might think!
